eco-textile design – botanical printing

Ecoprint is a textile printing technique that utilizes natural and sustainable materials to create unique designs inspired by nature. This technique involves the use of leaves, flowers, and other botanical elements that are placed onto fabric, then wrapped and steamed to transfer the natural pigments onto the fabric.

During this four-and-a-half-hour workshop, participants will delve into the world of eco-textile design through botanical printing.

Things to note:

  • Participants will learn the art of creating intricate prints using natural dyes derived from plants.
  • Each participant will have the opportunity to craft two cotton scarves and one silk scarf, employing various botanical printing techniques.
  • Through hands-on practice, participants will not only develop their skills in eco-design but also gain a deeper understanding of the sustainable practices essential.
