Lino weekend!

with ivo lederer

Create a multicolor, multi-layer linocut in the course of one weekend!

This two-day linocut workshop invites participants to explore printmaking in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. Together, we move step by step through the entire creative process — from developing an idea, to sketching, carving, and finally printing a finished linocut artwork.

Each stage is discussed carefully, so even complete beginners feel confident enough to experiment — including with multi-color prints. Mistakes are welcomed as part of the process. In linocut, imperfection is not failure, but character.

With two full days (4 hours each), participants have the time and space to truly immerse themselves. There is room to refine sketches, rethink compositions, and — for those who feel ready — attempt a 4- or even 5-layer print. Instead of waiting weeks between sessions, you can stay in the creative flow and complete a more complex piece within one focused weekend.

Beyond the technical learning, this format allows for connection. Working side by side over two days often creates a strong sense of community — and perhaps even new friendships that continue beyond the workshop.

This workshop is ideal for:

  • Beginners curious about printmaking
  • Artists who want to deepen their linocut practice
  • Anyone who enjoys focused, hands-on creative immersion
