Sculpting: Octopus
with Kristell and Özlem
Join us for a two-day fun and creative ceramic workshop on the weekend of September 26 and 27, where we will sculpt our own charming Octopuses from clay. Whether you are a beginner or already have some experience with ceramics, this class offers a playful way to explore sculpting while creating a unique piece.
During the workshop, participants will learn how to shape, assemble, and add character to their Octopus sculptures. We will focus on form, proportions, texture, and expressive details, allowing each Octopus to develop its own personality.
After the workshop, the pieces will be dried, kiln-fired, and transparent glazed by our studio team. Participants will get their Octopuses in 3 weeks.
Timings:
26 September – 10am to 1 pm
27 September – 10 am to 12 pm

About Kristell Redenz
I’m an industrial designer by training, an artist at heart. Since I was a child, I’ve been inspired by nature to create mixed-media illustrations and stoneware ceramics. I quit my job to pursue my passion: making art with soul, by hand, with clay and pigments that tell stories. Every piece I create is born from a love of the organic, the imperfect, and the real.
About Özlem Taskin Önen
I´m Özlem, the founder of commonroom and an architect. I have been working with clay for over 20 years and have given numerous workshops and classes. I enjoy my ceramic classes and gathering around creativity and the human connection.
