Spill the tea: make your own teapot (2 days workshop)
7 & 8 February weekend workshop
This class is for intermediate ceramist who already knows pinch pot and coil techniques. You will learn in depth how to create your own teapot. We recommend to come ready with some ideas of shape. Pinterest and TikTok are your bestfriend for this part. Our teacher will help you design and create it. On Saturday, you will learn how to build the body of the teapot. On Sunday, you will prepare the handle, the lid and the spout and will assemble everything. At that point you can also add some 3D decorations. Once your piece of art is fired, you will be invited to come glaze it during one of our open studio. At the end of the class, you will have you own teapot for the cold weather.
Things to Note
- All materials and tools are provided.
- Please wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little messy.
- Finished pieces will be fired and glazed after the workshop.
- Your pieces will be fired within approximately 2 weeks, depending on how busy the studio is.
- After firing, pieces are stored at the studio for up to 3 months — please plan to pick up your work within this time.
- The workshop is suitable for intermediate ceramicists. (ages 14+).

I am a Canadian neuroscientist who use ceramic to recenter, relax and get creative. I learned ceramics at 15 years old and since never stopped.
